AENOR Certificate
The quality of the UMH Student Internship Program has been recognized by the prestigious Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) according to the ISO 9001 standard. These certifications guarantee our users personalized and professional service at all times.
The AENOR certificate demonstrates UMH’s commitment to quality with its partner companies. Our goal is to facilitate student internships in companies and institutions, providing them with valuable experience that will enhance their future career prospects. This certification guarantees a high-quality service for both students and employers.
UMH Quality Policy
On January 29, 1998, the Management Committee approved the guidelines for the University’s quality policy, a Quality Policy that was led by the Management Committee, continued by the Governing Council and shared in its responsibility by all members of the University.
Subsequently, this Quality Policy was reviewed, specifically to adapt it to Organic Law 6/2001 on Universities and the signing of the Agreements for the creation of the European Higher Education Area. Thus, the Provisional Governing Council, meeting on May 19, 2003, agreed to approve the document “Definition of the Quality Policy of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.”
The Quality Manual of the Occupational Observatory for Work Placements is based on the philosophy, mission, and structure defined in the University’s Quality Policy document. There is an explicit commitment from senior management to comply with the requirements and to continuously improve the effectiveness of the quality system.
The quality policy is currently inferred to the organization through the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, which defines the UMH’s Mission as:
The UMH serves society by providing higher education, conducting research, and transferring knowledge, while also delivering high-quality services to meet society’s expectations and demands. It is committed to the comprehensive, innovative, and ethical education of its students, fostering the professional development and entrepreneurial spirit of its university community. Actively contributing to social, economic, cultural, and environmental development is a key part of its mission. The unique character of its four campuses, its cultural and extracurricular offerings, and its internationalization opportunities provide a rich, diverse, and inclusive university experience with a global perspective, while remaining close-knit and welcoming.
This vision guides the University :
The UMH aspires to be a university of quality and excellence, with international prestige in the fields of education, research, knowledge transfer, management, and contribution to economic and sociocultural development under a model of Sustainable Development. We will continue to be a socially responsible university, based on ethical values, principles of budgetary efficiency, and linked to the local community, promoting healthy lifestyles, equity, respect for diversity, and environmental conservation.
