Students undertaking internships at companies or organizations are covered by accident insurance, contracted with Markel, the cost of which is borne by the company. The amount, covering internship insurance and administrative expenses, is €30.05 per student per month of internship and must be paid in a single advance to the account number indicated in each student’s internship documentation. You can consult the general and specific terms and conditions of the policy. In case of accident:

1. In the event of an accident, and depending on the urgency, since the policy allows free choice of medical center, you can go to any private medical center you wish, provided you pay the cost of the treatment beforehand. Once the accident has been reported, Markel will reimburse you up to the limits established in the policy, which also covers commuting accidents.

2. You must have a completed accident report ( see template ) (it must be signed by both the injured person and the University). To submit the report, identify yourself as a UMH student and provide your policy number 024S00058ACO. Send it to and as soon as possible.

3. If you have previously visited the emergency room and have the medical report and the expenses incurred for the initial treatment, please send this documentation to the contacts indicated above along with the accident report.

4. If the accident occurs during a UMH break (Christmas, Easter, or August), go to the medical center for assistance and then contact the insurance company, identifying yourself as a UMH student. Contact: Cristina Zambubio: – Phone: +34 682 628 261

5. The Occupational Observatory will return the accident report signed by the UMH to the injured person for submission to the institution.
